Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is a key position in the company that is responsible for overseeing all project activities. The Operations Manager ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, construction profitability, and customer satisfaction. The Operations Manager works in conjunction with Project Managers and Field Operations to ensure projects are appropriately planned and that job activities are executed properly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures policies and procedures are followed regarding project and field management.
- Manage and develop employees within the Project Management Department.
- Collaborates with the General Manager to develop and meet the quarterly/annual plan.
- Participate in job handoffs, both between Estimating and Project Management and between Project Management and Field Operations. Ensure that all necessary information is communicated to the various team members.
- Reviews project setup with the Project Manager and Estimating to ensure the project is planned properly.
- Ensures that projects are completed on schedule, within budget and in compliance with drawings and customer expectations.
- Conducts monthly project reviews of all projects for any variance in individual project objectives, so forecasts can be adjusted accordingly.
- Ensures necessary talent and resources are immediately directed to problem projects, in order to minimize financial impact to the Company and its customer relationships.
- Review all pending and approved change orders with Project Managers. Ensure that correct labor rates are being used and appropriate documentation is kept.
- Maintains positive cash flow throughout project life cycle by ensuring proper setup of schedule of values, timely billings and collections.
- Attends regular management meeting to report and discuss progress.
- Completes annual performance reviews for assigned employees.
- Travels to jobsites as needed to ensure job quality and productivity.

Qualifications
- Education
- High school diploma
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certifications
- 30 hour OSHA Training
- Experience
- Proficient in the procedures and installation of divisions 6, 8 and 10.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an operations role within a Construction environment
- Computer skills, including work in Office 365, Plangrid, Vista.
- Preferred - management experience
